About Me
Professional Biography
You may have built a successful professional life while privately feeling overwhelmed, behind, or exhausted from working harder than anyone realizes. Time, organization, follow-through, competing demands, burnout, or unwritten expectations may keep getting in the way—even when you are capable and committed. You are not broken, and you do not need another one-size-fits-all system.
I am Dana D. Maher, JD, PCC, PCAC, ACCG, a former attorney and business executive who has coached since 2011. I work primarily with adults and professionals, including attorneys, executives, leaders, business owners, people in STEM and academia, and late-identified women. My clients may be navigating ADHD, autism, AuDHD, executive-function challenges, demanding careers, leadership responsibilities, professional transitions, or burnout. A diagnosis is not required to work with me.
Our work begins with understanding how you operate. I listen closely for patterns, strengths, assumptions, obstacles, and needs that can be difficult to recognize from inside a demanding life. Together, we develop practical approaches that fit your brain, values, responsibilities, energy, and real circumstances.
I bring direct questions, thoughtful challenge, relevant knowledge, honesty, humor, and curiosity. Clients often tell me that they feel seen, heard, understood, respected, and not judged. Coaching with me is collaborative, individualized, strengths-based, neurodiversity-affirming, and practical.
Before becoming a coach, my career included law, real estate, executive leadership, and small-business ownership. As a former practicing attorney, I understand high-stakes work, exacting standards, deadlines, difficult conversations, professional identity, and the pressure to appear capable while managing more than other people can see. I also understand that professional challenges are rarely only about productivity.
I am an International Coaching Federation Professional Certified Coach, a Professional Association for ADHD Coaches Professional Certified ADHD Coach, and an ADD Coach Academy Certified Coach Graduate. Since 2015, I have served as an ADDCA senior faculty member, mentor coach, and assessor, helping educate and develop ADHD coaches. My experience includes engagements with Microsoft and Princeton University and coaching professionals working across global companies, government, universities, law firms, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
You do not need a polished goal or the perfect explanation of what has been difficult. Visit my website to request a complimentary 30-minute Question and Answer Call. I will listen, answer your questions, explain how coaching may support you, and help you decide whether working with me or another Dana Maher Coaching team member feels like the right next step.
