Biography

Kristin Seymour, MSN, RN, AHCNS, is a board certified Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist with ADHD.

Kristin consults with parents of children with ADHD, principals, and peers to discuss diagnostic processes and factors needed for success. Kristin currently works as a Clinical Nurse Specialist with the Heart & Vascular Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She is an active member at the state level with the Missouri Time Critical Diagnosis (TCD) legislation implementation and education.

Kristin is a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC).  Kristin has been a professional national speaker for Johnson & Johnson’s cardiology speaker bureau since 2003.

Kristin received her B.S. from Valparaiso University and her M.S.N from Purdue University before entering the nursing profession, where she has working in acute critical care since 1995. During a brief return to Northwest Indiana in the middle of her career, Kristin was also an associate professor at her alma mater Valparaiso. Her passion for teaching and helping others has also fueled her recent work with individuals diagnosed with ADHD. Her consulting work was borne of the success of her 2016 book “The Fog Lifted: A Clinician’s Victorious Journey with ADHD”, which reached #1 on the Amazon bestseller list in the book’s category.

Kristin enjoys cross-training, traveling, gardening, cooking, playing piano, and spending time with her family. She resides in suburban St. Louis with her husband Jim of 20 years, and their two daughters, Katherine and Madeline.
