Field Experience:

 

  • Graduate Clinician Intern Therapist for the Center for Children and Families in Florida International University in STAND Program: (Supporting Teens Academic Needs Daily) Laboratory. Administering the Diagnostic Interview Schedule for Children (C-DISC), trained to administer and score IQ tests (WPPSI, WASI®-II, WISC-V) to determine if individuals are eligible to participate in various studies offered by the Center for Children and Families. August 2015-August 2016

 

  • Graduate Clinician Intern Therapist for the Center for Children and Families in Florida International University in STAND Program. Conducting therapy for families with adolescents with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and ODD. The goal of parent-training therapy section was to increase communication and strengthening of the parent-child relationship, psycho-education to parents on the disorders, getting parents involved in a healthy matter to support their child’s progress. I was also responsible for group sessions for high school-aged adolescents with diagnosis of ADHD, ODD, and other externalizing and internalizing disorders, who are experiencing academic difficulties. Interventions utilized were: MI, CBT, BT, Psycho-Education, organization skill training, goal setting, and time management, as well as conflict resolution skills training.   • Graduate Clinician (Clinical Practicum Internship) working in Family Counseling Services Switchboard Miami agency that was taken over by Jewish Community Services of South Florida. As part of Behavioral Health program I had 10 individual and 6 family clients that I saw one or twice a week, with variety of diagnosis, such as Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, PTSD, Personality Disorders, Dual diagnosis, Substance Abuse Disorder, Suicidal Ideation, Self Harm, and other presenting issues, such as family conflict, marital relationship problems, self-esteem issues, crisis situations, grief, and many more. August 2016 – Present
