Michelle Weltzin-Trainer is a board certified, licensed Independent Clinical Social worker (ACA, LISW, LCSW, LICSW) with over 20 years of experience working with individuals (adults, adolescents, older adults, and couples) with diverse religious, spiritual, and ethnic backgrounds. Trained in widely used treatments such as CBT/DBT, empowerment and strengths perspectives as well as person center approaches. There are alternative methods of therapy used that are both evidences based such as Mindfulness, Nature Therapy, use of crystals, minerals, nature elements, and if needed taught self-hypnosis. Serving the many needs of the LGBTQI+ community which includes difficulties faced in the transition process for transgender persons, as well as empowering use of terminology as a person wishes to use to describe themselves. Trained also by Adler University in Chicago, IL. Using the Harm Reduction Program assisting persons with therapy for mental health or substance issues.
Due to changes in therapy services and trying to meet the needs of all persons with limited resources for therapy in person, WCU was created in 2020 to assist persons with an alternative, safe place to seek the help they wish to have as well as learn new ways to heal to feel better and truly feel better about life.
