Licensed Psychologist
Address:
520 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA, USA, #301 90049
Description:

I am a licensed Psychologist who has been practicing for over 30 years. I hold a M.A. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.  I am adjunct faculty at Phillips Graduate University.

I have logged tens of thousands of hours helping clients with a wide range of challenges. I help individuals get unstuck, find relief, and improve the quality of their lives. I  also help couples improve communication and deepen their connection.  I sub-specializes in working with adults with Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD/ADD) via a group format that I have developed.

My Approach:
Strength-based, Collaborative, Action oriented, Supportive, Mindfulness-based.Based on my extensive training in Interpersonal Neurobiology I am able to incorporate cutting-edge findings from a variety of scientific disciplines into my work. Interpersonal Neurobiology is a frame of reference that enables psychotherapists, and clients, to benefit from the recent surge of findings about the brain and nervous system in order to foster change and promote wellbeing.

Groups:  for adults diagnosed with ADHD.  I run specialized groups for higher functioning adults with ADHD/ADD based on my book, Working around ADHD: How to take control, one obstacle at a time. Groups are structured into three timed segments. We begin with an open discussion based on relevant and predetermined topics. In the next segment (The Brags) members have an allotted time that is dedicated to focusing exclusively on taking credit where credit is due.   Finally, we end with Self-Assignments where each member has an allotted time to articulate goals and get help developing ADHD-friendly action plans to meet those goals. Because the groups are small (maximum of seven), they are usually full.   There is a waiting list. You must be on the waiting list in order to get in the group. To get on the waiting list, call to schedule an in-office consultation. (There is a fee for this consultation.)
