It was after her youngest son was diagnosed with learning disabilities and attention issues Beth McGaw became an outspoken advocate for children with learning disabilities and ADHD and their families. Beth founded Launch Pad Consulting Group to offer services to individuals and their families bridging the gap between high school and post-secondary education as well as explore options for potential employment. Beth also provides coaching services for young adults who have entered the workforce to help them navigate the world outside of academia which brings different challenges and needs.
Beth currently serves on the Learning Disabilities Association Board of Directors Executive Committee, Co-Chair of the Communications Committee and Coordinator of the Marketing Committee and Adult Topics Committee. Her past credits include co-founding the Atlanta-based, Kids Enabled Magazine. After moving to Dallas, she received her certification in Nonprofit Management and Nonprofit Marketing. Beth also volunteers with the Dallas-based organization, LaunchAbility, assisting in the creation of a Transition Services program which will offer group services to help build skills for post-secondary options such as college or employment.
Currently, residing in Dallas, TX, Beth and her husband have three boys, two of which have left home to pursue their careers, one on each coast. The third is on his way to launching as a young adult and pursuing his dream of graduating from college.
