Description

Some of us with ADHD have a peculiar relationship with time – conceptualizing it, using it well, and knowing what to do when. We catch ourselves investing our time frivolously or ineffectively. Many of us feel anxiety, guilt, or even self-loathing when we think about how we use our days, resulting in more wasted energy and time. Routine tasks, like laundry and paying the bills, might frustrate us. When we look at others who don’t have ADHD, we wonder, “Why is this so difficult for me? Why don’t I make myself do this thing?” Those of us with ADHD conceptualize time and tasks differently. If we understand how we view time and tasks, we can learn to change and reframe our work and play to create new, healthier habits. This session allows participants to understand how we view time and practical ways to get things done.
