Description

Telling a joke can be really difficult for ADHD folks. We forget the punchline. Or our timing is off. Or we get lost in the story and wind up in a completely different joke. So we tend to tell knock-knock jokes – short and sweet. Or ignore jokes completely. But what if you know a great joke that everyone will love? How can you make it compelling enough for people to laugh – at exactly the right moment? In this ADDA webinar, you’ll learn some tricks to telling jokes. And while we’re at it, we’ll share some secrets to telling ANY story, funny or not, so that people can follow along without rolling their eyes or making that weird little sigh that signals they have checked out. Join LInda Roggli, PCC as she talks about ADHD talking and joking and storytelling. And yes, there will be a joke. A long one that (most) people find funny. If she can remember it. Stay tuned.

Linda’s Book

Confessions of an ADDiva is frank, funny and fast, Finally.

A book about women with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) that doesn’t take itself too seriously, even in its most poignant moments.

I mean, what’s not to love about a book that is written in an engaging ADHD style, has lots of whimsical illustrations and begins like this:

“I’ve stopped apologizing to doorknobs. And cocktail tables and desk corners and open drawers…”

Linda’s Workshop

Menopause (Peri & Post) for ADHD
You know all those awful menopause jokes: “Is it hot in here or is it just me?” or “Of all the things I’ve lost, I miss my mind the most.”
But when you are the owner of an ADHD brain, menopause, perimenopause and postmenopause are truly not laughing matters.
Does ADHD get “worse” with age? It sure does when your estrogen starts bouncing around like a pogo stick and eventually drifts into oblivion. But WHY does the ADHD brain often suffer more during this time of life? Great question – we’ve got answers!
