If you’ve ever tried to use systems for yourself, or point charts for kids, or find other ways to consistently create a structured environment for managing ADHD, then you know it rarely seems to work in real life like it does in the books. Systems should be a means to an end, so they can’t be too complicated, for example, or too hard to remember. This session teaches you what to consider when creating systems and structures so that they’ll actually work — in the real world — for people with ADHD.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify 4 key frameworks that are necessary precursors for the development of effective systems.
- Understand how to best customize systems and structures in order to support the individual needs of people with ADHD
- Explore the role that motivation has in changing behavior when managing ADHD.
