Description

Does the thought of asking for what you need, for you or someone you care about, fill you with dread? Do you feel like you don’t have the confidence or the right words to get what you ask for? Are you telling yourself there’s no point even asking because if you do, you’ll be humiliated when it all goes horribly wrong and spins out of control?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, join ADHD coach Erik Anderson for a compelling, interactive workshop that challenges our ideas of what is and is not impossible. Learn how narrative advocacy can help you move beyond negative stories and magical thinking to create workable solutions and measurable success.

Learning Objectives

  • How the power of story can be used as a tool for self advocacy
  • The importance of self awareness to shape the stories we tell ourselves and others
  • How successful self advocacy is helped by creating partners and collaboration instead of adversaries and conflict

Biography

Erik “Doc” Anderson is an ADHD coach who is pioneering the use of narrative advocacy as a tool for individual and systems change. Erik is an ADHDer and also has Cerebral Palsy. He learned early how damaging limiting stories can be, both to ourselves and to others. He realized he could either listen to those stories and live in a very small world, or rewrite them and live in a much larger one. As a result, he’s done things many other people only dream of.
