Dr. Donna Geffner Presents:
Is it ADHD or an Auditory Processing Problem
Friday February 12th 2021 8:30 pm ET / 7:30 pm CT / 6:30pm MT / 5:30pm PT – 90 minutes
People diagnosed with ADHD as adults, may not be aware of other conditions that co-occur with ADHD. Auditory Processing Disorders are one of the conditions that often can occur alongside ADHD.
Common symptoms of auditory processing issues:
- In conversations, do you feel like you’re missing something?
- Do everyday noises like the vacuum cleaner or blender bother you or “hurt” your ears?
- Do you mis-hear words that rhyme or sound alike, leading to confusion and frustration?
- Do you fail to notice your cell phone ringing and miss important calls?
Dr. Donna Geffner is one of the leading experts in Auditory Processing Disorders. APD can impact communication, comprehension, interpersonal relationships, processing, understanding the social landscape, academics, and the workplace. It may also lead to misunderstandings and misperceptions that can contribute to conflicts, low self esteem, social anxiety, and other difficulties. Dr. Geffner will illuminate how the combination of ADHD + APD can impact every facet on one’s life.
