Having ADHD can be stressful. Raising a child with ADHD is often stressful. Having ADHD yourself AND parenting a child with ADHD… well, let’s just say that some days “stressful” is an understatement. In addition, about 30% of children and 50% of adults with ADHD also have anxiety, both of which often run in families. We will be discussing how stress and anxiety manifests in our children as well as ourselves as parents, and how this knowledge can help us and our children better approach some the our challenges.
