Part 2 of the presentation deals with the day-to-day use of the 3 main classes of ADHD Medications. It starts with choosing among the more than 40 medications and then fine tuning that medication to optimal performance and minimal side effects. It will discuss the reasonable expected benefits but will also discuss the potential side effects and possible risks. Since ADHD co-exists with another major mental health condition in 70% of people with an ADHD nervous system, the simultaneous treatment of ADHD with other conditions (ex. bipolar, anxiety) and special situations (ex. pregnancy, menopause) will be reviewed.
