Can I Use My Existing Amazon.com Account on AmazonSmile?
Yes, you use the same account on Amazon.com and AmazonSmile. Your shopping cart, Wish List, wedding or baby registry, and other account settings are the same.
How Do I Select ADDA as My Charitable Organization When Shopping on AmazonSmile?
Click any of the active links in this email and you’ll be taken right to smile.amazon.com/ch/84-1134997 where you can start shopping, knowing you’re already set up to donate to ADDA with every eligible purchase.
Otherwise, on your first visit to AmazonSmile, you’ll need to select ADDA (make sure you select the right Attention Deficit Disorder Association – See image on left) as your charity so we will receive donations from your eligible purchases before you begin shopping.
You only need to select ADDA as your charitable organization once; smile.amazon.com remembers your selection, and then every eligible purchase you make on smile.amazon.com will result in a donation.
How Much of My Purchase Does Amazon Donate?
The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the purchase price from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases. The purchase price is the amount paid for the item minus any rebates and excluding shipping & handling, gift-wrapping fees, taxes, or service charges. From time to time, AmazonSmile may offer special, limited time promotions that increase the donation amount on one or more products or services or provide for additional donations to charitable organizations. Can I Receive a Tax Deduction for Donations from My Purchases on AmazonSmile?
Donations are made by the AmazonSmile Foundation and so are not tax-deductible by you. If you would like to contribute to ADDA with the benefit of a tax deduction, remember that ADDA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all donations are tax exempt by the IRS.
