Dear ADDA Members, If you have an ADHD son or daughter between the ages of 13 and 21, please have them take a few minutes to fill out this survey. It is completely voluntary and anonymous. Title of Survey: Teenagers’ attitudes about ADHD stimulant medication usage Organization: Funded by the University of Virginia Medical Center Description: The purpose of this 10-minute Internet survey is to better understand why some teenagers take medication for their ADHD and why some do not. Teenagers often do not like to take medicine, or refuse to take medicine of any kind. This is also true for ADHD medicine. We would like to know what teenagers think about taking their ADHD medicine, and what makes it easier or harder to take it regularly. We are also interested in learning whether teens who take ADHD medicine have more or fewer accidents of any kind, including car accidents. If you would be willing to give us your opinion on ADHD medicine and tell us about any accidents you have had, doctors at the University of Virginia would really appreciate it. The better doctors everywhere can understand what it’s like to be a teenager with ADHD and deal with daily medicine, the better job they can do to help. Just by sharing your opinion and your experience, you can help make it happen. If you have ADHD and are between ages 13 and 21, read on: To complete the survey, go to: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=785131950409 Contact: Daniel J. Cox, Ph.D. |
