Awareness Day Alert

Many individuals have inquired about how they can become part of the National AD/HD Awareness Day celebration. The answer can be found in this year’s Awareness Day theme: AWARENESS + EDUCATION = EMPOWERMENT. Each and every one of us has the potential and ability to create public awareness, educate others about the challenges and triumphs of AD/HD, and empower all individuals with AD/HD to receive the proper diagnosis and treatment needed to live successful lives - simply by connecting with others and sharing our stories of empowerment. Stigma can often best be fought one story at a time. In recognition of National AD/HD Awareness Day, which will be celebrated this year on September 14th, ADDA wants to share the inspirational stories of individuals with AD/HD who have overcome the obstacles in their lives through education, awareness and empowerment. Please consider sharing YOUR story of hope and inspiration. ADDA invites individuals of all ages to send in your stories, 200 words or less. Essays will be posted on the ADDA website.. For further information on how to do so, please visit our website at http://www.add.org
